Wheels Online
If you want to get a truly good feel for the sheer variety available for wheels, online shopping is the way to go. The internet has a huge advantage over a physical location for wheel shopping; they don’t require floor space to display wheels. Seriously, that’s a big deal! Real estate is not cheap, and wheels are not small.
That’s one of the best reasons to shop for wheels online. In a traditional wheel store, they may have a few select models on display, but it won’t be their whole stock. For that you’ll need to look at their catalogue. At that point, you got up and drove to the store to have a sales person show you pictures. Even more frustratingly, if you’re looking at the wheels in a catalogue, odds are that you’ll have to wait for the shop to order those wheels in from the warehouse or manufacturer.
If you choose to shop for your wheels online, you’ll get better images, as well as tools specifically designed to help you ensure that the wheels you have in mind are ones that will work for your car. So, all you end up having to pay the wheel store for is a mount & balance, which runs in the neighborhood of 50 bucks. That works out to a significant savings over buying from a store as well.
