Wheel Sets

The most common way to sell rims is in wheel sets. If you stop to think about it, that’s really the sensible way to purchase them. One wheel is only useful when you’re replacing an existing wheel. When you’re looking to restyle your automobile, buying the wheels one at a time just doesn’t make sense. After all, if the wheels are a different size you can’t put them on the car till you have a set. Even if they’re the same size, your car will look odd if you have two or three styles of wheels on it at once.

So the natural solution to this problem is to offer wheel sets. Most stores will sell individual wheels, but offer four at a discounted price. Occasionally there will even be “buy three get one free” sales on wheels, which is a 25% off sale. That is just one example of the kind of discount you can find when shopping for an entire set rather than just one wheel.

Online retailers offer similar deals on wheel sets to in-store sales. Some will even go so far as to give you a deal on four rims and tires, often at a significant discount to the shelf price on the items. Online retailers also offer options such as a viewer, where you can drag wheel styles onto a mock model of your car to see what they would look like. This makes wheel shopping much less taxing on the imagination, and can prevent you from purchasing wheels you later regret owning.
