Spoke Wheels

If you want to give your car a classic look, you can go with spoke wheels. These wheels were popular on luxury cars up until the early nineties. So if you have that old Buick that you want to make look like the classic it is, you should outfit it with wheels that fit the period it came from.

Classic spoke wheels don’t fit well with modern sports cars, they just look off. Imagine for a moment a civic with 4 inch spoke wheels, maybe an eagle crest in the center. It probably looks ridiculous in your mind, because the styles just don’t mesh.  Some things just go together, like peanut butter and jelly. Other things, like peanut butter and tuna don’t. Sports cars and spoke wheels fall into the second category.

So if you’re considering spoke wheels for your car, do yourself a favor and ensure that your car has a style that works with those wheels.  That way you won’t be shaking your head in six months wondering why everyone laughs at your car. It’s easy to pick out a set of wheels, but harder to pick out a good one. The differences can be subtle, but they’re worth noticing.
